Piloting the EduCanNURS Toolkit

Testing the toolkit in real learning environments

Before the final release of the EduCanNURS Toolkit, the project partners conducted a comprehensive pilot phase. In spring 2026, the toolkit was piloted in Ireland, Croatia and Finland with non-specialist nurse educators and nursing students. The pilot phase explored how the toolkit supports cancer nursing education in practice while gathering valuable feedback from both educators and learners.

Shaping the final toolkit together

Using questionnaires, interviews, focus groups, and pre- and post-pilot assessments, the project team evaluated educator satisfaction, confidence and competence, as well as student learning experiences and the overall feasibility of the toolkit.

Educators and students shared valuable insights on the toolkit’s content, usability and impact on learning.

The feedback and evaluation results were used to refine and improve the toolkit, helping to ensure that the final version responds to the needs of both educators and learners.
